At IQM, we build world-leading quantum computers for the well-being of humankind. We design systems to tackle computational challenges beyond the practical limits of classical machines. Our work sits at the edge of science and engineering. It's complex, demanding, and deeply collaborative. We turn deep research into reliable, full-stack systems that drive discoveries in fields like medicine, energy, and technology, reshaping how the world computes.

Join the team that gives quantum a heartbeat.

The Work

As a Delivery Technician, you build and install our quantum computer systems in Finland and at customer sites around the globe. In this hands-on role, you install mechanical and electrical parts, prepare systems for shipment, and carry out on site installations. You make sure everything is built carefully, safely, and according to instructions.

You also work directly with customers during installations and collaborate with internal teams, and subcontractors. Your feedback helps us continuously improve how we build, deliver, and document our systems.

What you’ll actually do
  • Install and assemble quantum computer hardware systems on customer sites and internally.

  • Prepare mechanical and electrical assemblies before shipment.

  • Ensure installations meet quality and safety standards.

  • Act as a customer facing representative during on-site installations.

  • Coordinate practical matters with customer counterparts, and subcontractors.

  • Contribute to documentation, installation guidelines, and continuous improvement of delivery processes.

  • Support packaging, shipping, and logistics preparation.

  • Provide structured feedback to improve products and delivery practices.

  • Ensure health and safety standards are followed in daily work.

What we’re looking for
  • Relevant education such as a degree in micromechanics, engineering, or equivalent vocational background.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a relevant technical field.

  • Strong practical skills in mechanical and electrical assembly work.

  • Systematic and structured approach to tasks.

  • Good English language skills for communicating technical details clearly.

  • Experience with documentation and basic IT tools.

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks.

  • Willingness to travel internationally and work on customer sites for extended periods.

  • Ability to stay focused and solution oriented under time pressure.

Nice to have

  • Experience with fine assemblies and precision work.

  • Understanding of basic electricity and grounding principles.

  • Basic knowledge of microwave signals.

Why IQM?
  • Full-stack quantum computing: From quantum hardware to software layers and beyond, we build across the full-stack.

  • High-performance playground: We aim high, and we know sustainable performance only works when life outside work does too—hybrid setups, flexible hours.

  • Never the smartest: Expect to learn constantly. You won't always be the smartest person in the room, and that's the point.

  • Approachable leadership: Flat hierarchy, direct access. Feel free to approach any leaders. They're friendlier than they look!

  • The sweet spot: Big enough to matter. Small enough to move fast. Growing between a startup and a corporation. We’re in the phase where top performers get noticed.

  • Bigger than IQM: Our people build know-how for the entire quantum ecosystem. We publish papers, run hackathons, and help shape a market that's still being defined.

The future of computing won’t build itself. You might be one of the few who do.

We'll start interviews and move forward with hiring as soon as we meet strong candidates. Please submit your application soon.
