At IQM, we operate in a fast-scaling environment where accurate, compliant, and timely financial reporting is essential to support growth and maintain strong financial control. This Financial Specialist ensures the effective delivery of accounting and reporting services by overseeing external service providers, coordinating closing processes, and maintaining strong internal governance and system integrity. The role acts as a key liaison between IQM and outsourced accounting partners, ensuring high-quality financial outputs, adherence to IFRS and local GAAP, and scalable finance processes. As the organization expands, this position plays a critical role in strengthening financial control frameworks, integrating new entities, and improving reporting standards across the business.
This role is based in Espoo, Finland.
What will I be doing?
Act as the main point of contact between IQM and the external accounting and reporting provider, including ownership of the respective contract
Oversee the end-to-end delivery of accounting and financial reporting services provided externally
Review and validate accounting entries (journals), reconciliations, financial statements, and other deliverables from the service provider
Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
Ensure compliance with IFRS, local GAAP, group policies, and internal deadlines
Take ownership of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, including development and continuous improvement
Support internal and external audits by coordinating documentation, data, and responses
Collaborate with stakeholders across Finance, Legal, and Operations to support cross-functional initiatives
Drive improvements in financial processes, reporting quality, and internal controls
Contribute to the integration of new entities and the scaling of financial reporting practices across markets
What skills do I need?
3-5+ years of experience in financial coordination, accounting, or outsourced finance service management in a multinational environment
Strong understanding of IFRS and local GAAP, including financial reporting and accounting processes
Experience with month-end close processes, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite
Proven ability to manage external service providers and coordinate multiple stakeholders
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and deliverables in a structured way
Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a focus on accuracy
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across finance and non-finance teams
Proactive, improvement-oriented mindset with ability to drive consistency across processes and markets
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
