System Administrator (mid-senior)

We’re looking for a System Administrator to join our global IT team in Munich and Espoo to support our cutting-edge quantum research. If you’re a tech-focused problem-solver who thrives in dynamic, international environments, this is your chance to make a global impact.
What will I be doing?
- Take ownership and responsibility of dedicated services.
- Execute IT development tasks and project roadmap initiatives.
- Monitor and optimize uptime for internal and customer-facing production systems.
- Ensure compliance with IT and information security policies.
- Participate in upgrade and maintenance activities.
- Document IT systems and services, keeping records current.
- Analyze logs for critical alerts and resolve issues proactively.
- Planning, executing and testing disaster recovery procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to design infrastructure and applications.
What skills do I need?
- 3+ years in IT system administration.
- Strong Linux system administration skills.
- Knowledge and experience in Infra-as-a-code (Ansible).
- Python and Bash scripting competence.
- Deep networking knowledge (MPLS, IPSec, BGP, Firewalls, L2/L3 networking).
- Experience from mid-size to large environments and their optimization and scaling (preferably also from migrations).
- Understanding of IT support principles, information security, and business continuity.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Fluent in spoken and written English; cross-cultural communication skills.
Preferred skills:
- Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience in software development, IaaS/PaaS, or cybersecurity.
- Familiarity with privacy laws, scripting (Python, Bash), or quantum computing.
- Start-up environment experience.
