Senior People Operations Specialist

We are looking for an experienced and solution-driven professional to join our People & Culture function, taking ownership of core people operations in a rapidly growing international company. As a Senior People Operations Specialist, you will play a key role in managing and optimizing people processes across multiple regions. You will oversee payroll, benefits, global mobility, and people systems while driving automation and efficiency initiatives. This role requires a deep understanding of people operations, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the employee experience.

What will you be doing?

  • Manage and oversee people operations throughout the employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
  • Lead payroll processes across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and alignment with regional requirements.
  • Optimize and administer compensation and benefits programs to support employee engagement and retention.
  • Coordinate global mobility and relocation processes, serving as a key liaison with external partners.
  • Oversee and improve onboarding, offboarding, and employee training programs.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for complex employee inquiries related to people policies, payroll, and benefits.
  • Maintain and enhance HRIS systems, ensuring data integrity and leveraging insights for process improvements.
  • Develop and generate reports to support business decisions and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with the People & Culture team and other departments to streamline people operations processes and enhance the employee experience.
  • Drive strategic initiatives related to globalization, automation, and process optimization within people operations.

What skills do you need?

To succeed in the Senior People Operations Specialist role at IQM, we’re looking for someone at least 5 years of experience with the following key skills and expertise:

  • People Operations Mastery — In-depth experience managing all aspects of people operations, from onboarding to offboarding, across multiple countries and regions. You understand the nuances of global people operations requirements and can manage complex processes with precision.
  • Payroll and Compensation Expertise — Proven ability to lead payroll processes, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations while maintaining accuracy and timeliness. Experience optimizing compensation and benefits programs to drive employee engagement and retention is essential.
  • Global Mobility and Relocation — Strong knowledge of global mobility and relocation processes, with the ability to manage cross-border mobility initiatives and serve as the liaison with external partners.
  • HRIS Management — Expertise in managing and optimizing HRIS systems ensuring data accuracy and integrity while leveraging insights for operational improvements.
  • Problem-Solving and Process Optimization — Ability to identify inefficiencies, propose solutions, and drive automation within people operations processes to improve scalability, reduce manual work, and enhance the employee experience.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration — Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders (People & Culture, Finance, Legal, etc.) and external partners to ensure seamless people operations.
  • Analytical Thinking — Strong analytical skills to generate and interpret people data reports, providing data-driven insights to inform business decisions and ensure compliance.
  • Employee-Centric Approach — A deep commitment to providing excellent employee service, responding to complex inquiries, and ensuring a positive experience throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Adaptability and Agility — As IQM continues to grow, you must be able to adapt to changing needs and rapidly evolving people operations requirements across different regions.
  • Communication Skills — Excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken) are a must. Proficiency in another EU language is a plus and will be beneficial in collaborating with colleagues and external partners across Europe.
