Your Opportunity (overall purpose of role):

As Bitrise continues to scale, we would like to expand our finance team with a Group Reporting Manager to work alongside our Operational Controllership team.

The role will be stand alone, reporting directly to the CFO, but work closely with both internal and external accountants, auditors and advisors to ensure our financial reporting, tax compliance, audits and other regulatory reporting is completed to the highest standard and on time in all our group locations (Hungary, UK, US, Netherlands and Japan).

This role is both strategic and hands-on, focused on the timely completion of audits, filing of regulatory accounts, acting as an internal adviser on technical accounting matters as well as looking into the future on topics such as corporate group structure, tax planning and other matters.

The Candidate is a proactive, can do, roll your sleeves up type of person who is happy diving into the drafting of accounts one day and speaking to external consultants on regulation changes and driving audit engagement the next. You will love the international and fast moving aspect of the business and the challenge of learning on the spot whenever something new pops up. The business does not stand still and there are always new questions or challenges that need addressing.

You will be the go to person in the company for:

Group Consolidation, Technical Accounting, External auditors and advisors, transfer pricing and regulatory bodies and collaborate with the CFO on longer term corporate structure and other regulatory topics as they arise..

Someone who:

  • Has solid UK GAAP experience and good awareness of US GAAP & IFRS.
  • Is excited to join a scale up SaaS business with a personable and data driven environment
  • Has extensive experience completing ETBs, drafting statutory accounts, tax returns, and group consolidations.
  • Has executive presence and is comfortable driving audits and challenging both internal and external stakeholders when needed.
  • Likes working in an informal but fast paced environment.
  • Has several years of audit experience at a larger firm.
  • Thrives in an environment where working independently, taking individual ownership and being held accountable for outcomes is key.
  • Has great attention to detail and is able to execute to a very high standard.
  • Is ACA, ACCA or CPA qualified

Your experience:

  • 6–12 years in Audit, Financial Reporting, UK/ US GAAP, tax
  • International exposure
  • Ideally minimum 4 years in larger audit firm with wide exposure to variety of industries
  • Some experience in SaaS or technology environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and influence external stakeholders
  • Excellent spreadsheet skills and exposure to accounting systems (ideally Netsuite)
  • Solid experience completing ETBs, drafting statutory accounts, tax returns, and group consolidations

Your responsibilities:

The role will be based in the UK and will focus on

  • Prepare and deliver consolidated statutory accounts for all our entities, in some jurisdictions (such as Hungary, Netherlands and Japan) with the help of external accountants
  • Manage the wing to wing external audit process, ensuring timely completion and clean audit reports
  • Support technical accounting matters and tax (IFRS and local GAAPs) across the finance team and in particular act as an advisor to the team on revenue recognition in a SaaS environment
  • Lead group cashflow forecasting and monitoring
  • Assist with interest rate hedging strategies and banking relationships
  • Monitor FX exposure and assist in mitigation strategies
  • Support international tax compliance incl transfer pricing and coordination with external advisors
  • Maintain awareness of cross-border tax considerations and evolving regulations
