Join Truecaller – The place where innovation meets impact!

Truecaller's mission is to build trust in communication by making it safer, smarter, and more efficient. Born in Sweden, trusted by the world, and here’s why we stand out:

  • We are trusted by over 450 million active users every month across 190+ countries
  • We identify over 15 billion calls daily, helping users avoid spam and scams
  • We are powered by a team of 450+ employees from 45+ nationalities

We always look for people who take initiative, own their work, and keep raising the bar. An entrepreneurial mindset matters here, especially when it turns bold ideas into real actions. We stay collaborative and focused, always searching for smarter paths forward. If you want to make an impact and grow with a team that inspires millions, you’ll fit right in.

As an Engineering Manager in the Release Team, you will manage a multi-platform team of software engineers. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and technical direction of mobile release cycles and automation initiatives, serving as a key voice in defining our delivery roadmap. You'll guide the engineering team through the exploration, development, and implementation of the release pipelines and tooling.

The impact you will create:

  • Manage and lead the team to ensure efficient and effective execution of the iOS and Android release processes.
  • Drive automation initiatives to improve release cycles on platforms like App Store, Google Play, and for OEM Stores.
  • Enable high app quality and testability by overseeing the development of tooling and defining quality standards (e.g., automated crash/ANR detection systems, and integration of testing tools).
  • Drive the Release Team roadmap and scope, offering valuable input in decision-making related to team delivery.
  • Mentor and guide engineers, helping them develop both technically and culturally in a fast-paced, multi-platform environment.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for mobile release engineering and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and external partners to ensure smooth operations and compliance.
  • Be hands-on balancing leadership with technical guidance to support the team in troubleshooting and implementing critical systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies, ensuring the team works with the best tools available for release and testing automation.

What you bring in:

  • 1+ years of relevant experience as an Engineering Manager or technical leader.
  • 6+ years of technical experience in mobile engineering (iOS and/or Android), with a focus on the mobile release lifecycle (App Store, Google Play, OEM Stores).
  • Proven expertise in mobile release engineering, including CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (e.g., Fastlane, Jenkins, or similar).
  • Experience with release train management and advanced branching strategies (e.g., Gitflow).
  • Experience implementing and leveraging quality and observability tools (e.g., Crashlytics, Firebase) for automated detection and triage of issues.
  • Solid understanding of the Android and/or iOS SDKs and modern mobile architectures.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and ability to drive efficient development workflows.
  • A passion for coaching and mentoring.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, particularly for managing cross-functional stakeholder and external partner relationships (e.g., Google Play Policy).
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and multi-platform environment.

It would be great if you also have

  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Go, Ruby) for building internal tools and automation.
  • Understanding of App Store and Google Play policy and compliance requirements.
  • Experience building and managing mobile device farms for automated testing at scale.

What we offer:

We support growth through learning resources, leadership programs, mentoring, and real hands-on work. People can move between teams and projects to build new skills and keep things interesting. We offer clear internal mobility and a transparent path for progression, with leaders who stay involved and provide guidance throughout the year. In addition, you will benefit from:

  • A comprehensive compensation package: We offer a competitive salary, 30 days of paid vacation, private health insurance, parental leave top-up, pension, and wellness contributions.
  • Modern tools to do your best work: Choose your preferred computer and phone within our budget, so you can work comfortably and efficiently.
  • A people-focused office culture: We value in-person collaboration and follow an office-first model, with some flexibility. Our offices offer a vibrant environment with opportunities to learn, connect, and recharge, from breakfast, lunch, and well-stocked snack stations and quiet spaces to team activities such as movie nights, tech meetups, and cultural events. There's something for everyone.
  • Truecaller’s “Lab Days” offer a space for imagination: 5 times per year for 3 days, where everyone steps away from their normal tasks to explore new, bold ideas and build things they’ve always wanted to. It’s a space where curiosity leads the way, and prototypes take shape. Some concepts even make it into production, and a few have grown into real features used by millions today. Lab Days allow you to be creative, learn fast, and help shape Truecaller's future.
