The Service Desk team's mission is to provide Booksy employees with digital workplace solutions, managing Booksy’s hardware and solving technical problems of our workforce, so they can perform their job duties effectively and securely. As a Senior IT Operations Specialist, reporting into the Global Service Desk Manager, your role will see you support a wide range of IT services, proactively troubleshoot technical issues and support user experiences.

We work closely with the Security team to support compliance, and frequently collaborate with the People & Culture and Finance teams to align IT services with organisational needs.

This role will also see you primarily support our US teams, and will require you to work US hours from 2pm-10pm CET.

As an Senior IT Operations Specialist, your role will involve:

  • Resolving ongoing technical problems reported on the ticketing system face-to-face and remotely;
  • Purchasing, preparing and configuring and maintaining the inventory of equipment for employees and contractors;
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting computers, printers and other peripherals;
  • Managing SaaS applications, overseeing access control, optimizing licensing, and ensuring cost-effective use of cloud-based tools to align with organizational needs and security standards.
  • Assist in maintaining the network infrastructure in the office;
  • Support in the creation and implementation of security policies and IT procedures in Booksy;
  • Taking part in global IT initiatives around Digital Workplace and Endpoint Management
  • Administration of users in Google Workspace, Slack, Office 365.

In terms of required skills, we're looking for the following experience:

  • Good knowledge of IT topics (hardware, software, computer networks) to diagnose and solve technical issues reported by Booksy employees.
  • Basic understanding of common operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linux) and common technical challenges.
  • Experience working with Google Workspace technologies, Atlassian, Slack, Okta, Office365 and TeamViewer.
  • Very good communication skills, patience, empathy and ability to explain technical challenges to non-technical users.
  • Good research skills, self-reliance and “can-do” attitude to solve technical challenges based on the information available on the Internet.
  • Ability to perform analysis (cost vs benefits) in the context of hardware or peripherals purchased for employees
  • Willingness to learn system administration and digital workplace topics
  • Good english skills (C1/B2)
